FACILITIES, FOOD QUALITY & FRESHNESS
The facilities at HPC Foods are second to none in the state of Hawaii. A large portion of that has to do with the fact that many of our machines and equipment can’t be found anywhere else in the state. In addition to producing and distributing the freshest goods, HPC keeps food safety concerns at the forefront of our food processing.
HPC Foods is Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) approved as well as certified by various individual audits requested by our customers. You can be sure that a partnership with us will result in the highest quality products for your company and food safety measures that meet the highest standards.
PRODUCE PROCESSING CENTER
The Produce Processing Center opened its doors in June 2004. In this 15,000 sq. ft. facility, we manufacture fresh cut vegetables and fruits for both food service and retail customers. All processing is done in a refrigerated environment on stainless steel equipment to maximize quality and food safety.
SPROUTS DEPARTMENT
HPC Foods is the largest sprouter in the state of Hawaii and currently grows, packages and distributes mung bean sprouts, clover sprouts, soy sprouts, radish sprouts, broccoli sprouts ( under the Taro Brand label ), and wheatgrass.
Our sprouts are germinated and grown under optimal conditions for the highest quality and yield – delivering the freshest sprouts straight to the consumer.
CENTRAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER
The company built a 9,000 sq. ft. refrigerated warehouse, which operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. The Central Distribution Center has 5 loading docks from which the fleet of refrigerated trucks can be loaded directly to complete the cold chain.
